AIRLINES WAIVE ADVANCE PURCHASE RULES FOR THE HOLIDAYS

I have been blogging about ALL the holiday deals being offered by our lodging partners, now the airlines have waived advance purchase rules for their low fares, so


WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

It's snowing out west and the skiing gets better by the day.

You have to be flexible on flights, but why not sneak out for a few days of turns and get a jump on your season?


DETAILS ARE:

Effective today (December 17th) through Jan. 4 2010, travelers can buy tickets for ski destinations in the US and Canada at the last minute without necessarily paying more.

The airlines that waived their advance purchase requirements are American Airlines, United, Delta, Northwest, US Airways, Frontier, AirTran and Midwest.

Continental still requires a 3-day advance purchase, but they may also follow its competitors' move.

The cheapest airfares are available on Dec. 16, 17, 25, as well as Jan. 1 and 4.

--The second cheapest level airfares are about 30% higher than the lowest fares. Travel for this level is valid on December 18, 20, 21, 24, 30 and 31.

--The third cheapest level is about 55% higher than the lowest fares. Travel dates will be December 19, 22, 23, 26, 28 and 29.
